Designed for unprecedented gaming performance, we've engineered the Crucial Ballistix Elite series to include an advanced mechanical heat spreader design using high-quality extruded aluminum, a sleek black PCB, and integrated thermal sensors. And we top it all off with choice components specially elected to meet our highest criteria. That makes it the ideal choice for top-notch performance: enjoy the fastest speeds and best response times, support for cutting-edge platforms, and the stability and quality you've come to expect from the Crucial name.
We tested the Crucial Ballistix Elite PC3-15000 memory modules on our test system:
As always, we overclocked the Core i7-2600K CPU to its limits (using air cooler) by pushing the multiplier to x52. This results in our i7 2600k coming in at 5.2GHz. With the memory working so well in conjunction with the CPU, we can see a really nice boost in performance.
AIDA64 test results (with our Core i7-2600K CPU overclocked to 5.2GHz with Noctua's NH L12 Premium CPU Cooler): Read / Write speed: 25,423 MB/s / 27,061 MB/s, Copy speed: 28,225 MB/s and 37.9ns latency.
