OCZ has paired up the SandForce 2281 controller with Toshiba’s alternative Toggle flash – the 120 GB version has 8 chips with 4 channels each, sending 32 total channels of flash to the controller.
The Max IOPS only has 8 chips, although these particular chips carry 4 NAND parts per die. That means it still feeds the SandForce controller with 32 channels, as much as possible on a 120/128 GB drive.
