 For a good few years now, graphics cards have been the component that draws most power in high end machines. Indeed they can consume up to 300 watts, while a processor that hasn’t been overclocked generally falls somewhere between 50 and 100 watts, with the same for the rest of the configuration (motherboard, hard drives and so on).
