Concurrent booting allows Ubuntu to take advantage of dual-core processors, as well as processors with hyperthreading or multithreading support.
You will need to edit your /etc/init.d/rc file :
sudo gedit /etc/init.d/rc
Find ”CONCURRENCY=none” and change it to "CONCURRENCY=shell"
That's it.
