A-DATA has been on a surefire roll of late with new introductions in its flash memory family. Today we'll be looking at the ADATA's S599 Solid State Drive powered by the SandForce SF-1222 SSD controller equipped with the new high IOPS firmware and only 13% overprovisioning, giving you more space for the same total MLC flash area.

The SandForce SF-1222 SATA II 3 GBps controller adds DuraClass technology to their SF-1222 processor, aimed to provide best-in-class endurance, performance, and lower power consumption. The SandForce SF-1222 controller offers up to 280 MB/s read speed and up to 270 MB/s write speed, native TRIM support in Windows 7, Native Command Queuing (NCQ) with 32 command slots, and Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology (SMART) command set.  The ADATA's S599 SSD achieved up to 52,000 IOPS in IOmeter tests, a performance unrivaled by traditional hard drives. There are sixteen Intel flash modules made on Intel's 34 nm process node with a capacity of 8 GB each totalling 128 GB in size. The A-DATA S599 solid state drive is highly reliable and durable, delivers significantly higher performance, saves power, stays cool and it comes with a three year warranty. The net weight of the drive is 68g only.

At a cost of $220 the A-DATA S599 128GB is the cheapest 128GB Sandforce SSD available on the market and it is the fastest SSD in the 120GB range right now.

We highly recommend this product to all users looking for the best performance at low price.
